BT Complete Wi-Fi is an optional service that improves wireless coverage in homes where the broadband router cannot reach every room. It uses Wi-Fi extenders to provide a stronger signal in bedrooms, upstairs rooms and other areas with poor reception.
BT now offers Complete Wi-Fi Plus for customers with the Smart Hub 3. It uses Wi-Fi 6 extenders, while the older Complete Wi-Fi service uses Wi-Fi discs with the Smart Hub 2.
Complete Wi-Fi is ideal for larger houses, multi-storey homes and properties with thick walls. It does not increase your broadband speed, but it can improve the Wi-Fi connection in rooms far from the router.

BT Complete Wi-Fi features
Better coverage across the home
Complete Wi-Fi Plus extends your router’s wireless signal into areas where reception is poor. This can make a big difference in upstairs bedrooms, home offices and rooms separated by thick walls.
One Wi-Fi network
The extenders work with your Smart Hub 3 to create a single wireless network. Your phone or laptop can automatically connect to a stronger signal as you move between rooms. You do not need to select a different Wi-Fi network manually.
Wi-Fi 6 extenders
Complete Wi-Fi Plus supports Wi-Fi 6 on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. It can handle multiple connected devices, including smart TVs, laptops, phones and gaming consoles. Each extender also has a Gigabit Ethernet port for a wired device.
Easy installation
BT initially provides one extender, which should be enough for many homes. You can use the My BT app to find a suitable location and check signal strength. If coverage is still poor, BT can provide additional extenders.
£100 Wi-Fi guarantee
BT promises reliable Wi-Fi coverage in every room of your main home. If it cannot provide this after supplying additional extenders and troubleshooting the problem, you can claim a one-off £100 bill credit, subject to BT’s terms.
The guarantee does not cover gardens, sheds, outbuildings or faults with the broadband connection itself.
Which BT broadband plans offer Complete Wi-Fi?
Complete Wi-Fi Plus is available as an optional add-on for compatible BT broadband connections using the Smart Hub 3. This includes BT’s Part Fibre and Full Fibre plans.
It is not automatically included with every broadband plan. You need to add it when ordering broadband or contact BT to upgrade your existing service.
Customers using the older Smart Hub 2 should check compatibility before ordering, as the original Complete Wi-Fi discs are not compatible with Smart Hub 3.
