Stay Fast Guarantee
The minimum guaranteed download speed for Full Fibre 300 is 150Mbps to your BT Hub. If it drops below this, you can report the problem to BT. You have the right to leave without early cancellation charges if BT cannot restore the guaranteed speed within 30 days.
Router
The Smart Hub 3 comes as standard with Full Fibre 300. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and has four Ethernet ports for connecting devices directly.
You can also get Complete Wi-Fi Plus, which uses Wi-Fi extenders to provide better coverage in rooms where the router’s signal struggles to reach.
Digital Voice
A home phone is optional with BT Full Fibre 300. Digital Voice allows you to make and receive calls over the internet without landline. You can continue using a compatible home phone by connecting it to the Smart Hub 3. Your existing telephone number can usually be transferred, and you can choose from different call plans.
BT TV
BT TV is another optional extra. The TV Box Pro lets you record your favourite programmes, while the smaller TV Box Edge is designed for watching live TV and streaming without recording. Full Fibre 300 can easily handle 4K programmes on more than one TV, with bandwidth left for other devices.
BT Full Fibre 300 for gaming
Download speed is useful for installing games and updates, while low latency matters more when you are playing online. Full Fibre 300 provides enough bandwidth for several gaming consoles and PCs to share the connection.
For example, a 100GB game takes about 45 minutes to download at 300Mbps under ideal conditions. You can also download game updates while other family members watch Netflix or YouTube. Actual download times depend on your device, connection and the game server.
Alternatives to consider
- BT Full Fibre 150 is worth choosing if you mainly watch TV, browse websites and play online games, without downloading large files regularly.
- BT Full Fibre 500 gives you faster downloads and uploads. Consider it if your family frequently transfers large files or uses many devices heavily.
- Plusnet Full Fibre 300 offers the same average download speed, while Vodafone Full Fibre 500 is another option if you want more speed. Compare their prices, rewards and availability before deciding.
