Which Vodafone broadband plans offer Pro 3?

Vodafone offers Pro 3 with selected Full Fibre 74, 150, 500 and 910 plans. Faster 1.6Gbps, 1.8Gbps and 2.2Gbps options are also available on supported networks.

You get the same Pro 3 features regardless of the speed you choose. For example, Full Fibre 150 Pro 3 comes with the Ultra Hub 7, Super WiFi boosters and 4G backup, just like Full Fibre 910 Pro 3.

Pro 3 is only available on full fibre connections. If you cannot get full fibre yet, Vodafone offers Pro 2 with Wi-Fi 6E on selected part-fibre connections.

Vodafone Pro 3 features and benefits

Ultra Hub 7 with Wi-Fi 7

Pro 3 includes Vodafone’s Ultra Hub 7 router, which supports dual-band Wi-Fi 7 on 2.4GHz and 5GHz. It has two 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports and supports Multi-Link Operation for compatible Wi-Fi 7 devices.

The router can handle several high-performance devices and supports broadband connections above 1Gbps. However, it does not have a 6GHz Wi-Fi band.

Our Vodafone Power Hub and Ultra Hub 7 comparison covers the technical specifications and differences.

Super WiFi 7 Boosters

Pro 3 includes a Super WiFi 7 Booster to improve wireless coverage beyond the main router. Vodafone can supply up to three Boosters without extra charges if required.

The service guarantees at least 10Mbps Wi-Fi speed in every room. If Vodafone cannot meet the guarantee after supplying three Boosters and investigating the problem, you can leave without early termination fees, subject to its conditions.

Automatic 4G Broadband Back-up

One of Pro 3’s biggest advantages is the included 4G backup dongle. If your fixed broadband connection fails, the router automatically switches to Vodafone’s 4G mobile network.

You get 100GB of backup data each month. If the allowance runs out during a broadband fault, Vodafone’s support team can provide additional data without an extra charge.

The backup is great for continuing emails, browsing and video calls during an outage. However, performance depends on Vodafone’s 4G coverage at your home, and the system still needs electricity to operate.

Broadband Xperts support

Vodafone’s Broadband Xperts monitor your connection proactively for the first 90 days after installation. They can identify problems, adjust network settings and help resolve faults.

After the initial 90 days, Pro 3 customers continue to receive call prioritisation when contacting broadband support.

The team can also arrange an engineer appointment if a fault cannot be resolved remotely.

Secure Net Home

Pro 3 includes Secure Net Home without an additional subscription charge. It provides protection against malicious websites and online threats for up to 128 connected devices.

Parents can also manage screen time, pause internet access and restrict access to selected websites or content categories.

The service can be managed through Vodafone’s apps and requires activation.

Vodafone Together discounts

If you already have an eligible Vodafone Pay Monthly mobile plan, you may qualify for Vodafone Together savings when adding Pro 3 broadband.

The discount depends on the offer and qualifying plans. Broadband and mobile remain separate services, and their contract terms may differ.

Standard Vodafone broadband is enough for most homes that have good Wi-Fi coverage and do not need a backup connection.

Pro 3 is a better choice for larger households, people working from home and customers who want Wi-Fi boosters, 4G backup and security features included in one broadband package.

Vodafone Pro 3 FAQs

Does Pro 3 increase my broadband speed automatically?

No. Your download and upload speeds depend on the Full Fibre plan you choose. Pro 3 adds a better router, Wi-Fi boosters, broadband backup and other services, but it does not automatically upgrade a 150Mbps connection to 500Mbps.

Can I use my own router with Vodafone Pro 3?

Vodafone requires its supplied router for Pro features such as Super WiFi integration and automatic 4G backup. Replacing it with a third-party router may prevent these services from working.

Does 4G backup work if Vodafone has a mobile network outage?

No. The backup uses Vodafone’s mobile network, so it needs working 4G coverage. It also requires the Hub and dongle to have power.

Can I add Pro 3 to my existing Vodafone broadband?

Existing customers can ask Vodafone about moving to Pro 3 if full fibre is available at their address. An upgrade may require a new contract and different monthly charges.

Is Vodafone Pro 3 worth getting for a small flat?

If your existing Power Hub already provides good Wi-Fi coverage and you rarely experience broadband outages, standard Vodafone broadband may be enough. Pro 3 becomes more attractive if you need its 4G backup, additional Wi-Fi coverage or advanced router features.
