Vodafone Super WiFi – Features, Boosters and Coverage Guarantee

Vodafone Super WiFi improves wireless coverage in homes where the main router cannot provide a strong signal in every room. It uses mesh Wi-Fi Boosters to extend coverage into upstairs bedrooms, home offices and other areas with poor reception.

There are two main options: Super WiFi 6 for standard Vodafone broadband and Super WiFi 7 with Pro 3. Both offer up to three Boosters and guarantee at least 10Mbps Wi-Fi speed in every room, or you can leave your broadband contract without early termination fees if Vodafone cannot fix the problem.

Super WiFi is ideal for larger homes, properties with thick walls and households with several people using wireless devices in different rooms.

Vodafone Super WiFi features and benefits

Mesh Wi-Fi coverage

Super WiFi creates one wireless network using your Vodafone router and Boosters. Your phone, laptop or tablet can connect to a nearby Wi-Fi point as you move between rooms without manually changing networks.

This is particularly helpful if your router is downstairs but you regularly work or stream videos upstairs.

Super WiFi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 Boosters

The Super WiFi 6 Booster works with Vodafone’s Wi-Fi 6 Power Hub. It extends wireless coverage for compatible phones, laptops, smart TVs and other devices.

Super WiFi 7 comes with the Ultra Hub 7 on Pro 3. It offers newer wireless technology, including support for compatible Wi-Fi 7 devices.

However, a Wi-Fi 7 Booster will not automatically give you the full speed of your broadband plan in every room. Wireless performance still depends on placement, interference and connected devices.

Up to three Boosters

Vodafone initially provides one Booster. If some rooms still receive poor Wi-Fi, you can contact Vodafone for additional units.

Up to three Boosters are available without further equipment charges as part of the service. Vodafone may ask you to complete troubleshooting checks before supplying another.

For the best results, position each Booster where it can still receive a good signal from the router or another mesh point. Placing one directly in a room with almost no signal may not improve performance.

10Mbps Wi-Fi guarantee

Vodafone guarantees at least 10Mbps download speed over Wi-Fi in every room of your home.

If Vodafone cannot achieve this after supplying three Boosters and attempting to resolve the problem, you can cancel your broadband contract without early termination fees.

You must notify Vodafone within 30 days of receiving your third Booster. The guarantee also requires you to use Vodafone’s supplied equipment and follow its troubleshooting instructions.

The guarantee applies to Wi-Fi inside your home. It does not promise the full broadband speed on every device.

Easy installation

You can install the Boosters yourself using the My Vodafone app or the WPS buttons on the router and Booster.

For manual installation, Vodafone recommends placing the Booster within two metres of your Hub during pairing. Once connected, move it halfway between the router and the area where Wi-Fi reception becomes weak.

A solid white light indicates a successful connection. A flashing white light means the Booster has a weak connection and should be moved closer to the Hub.

Dedicated Wi-Fi support

Super WiFi customers can contact Vodafone’s WiFi Xperts for help with wireless coverage and connection problems.

The support team can check your setup, suggest better Booster positions and investigate poor speeds. Pro 3 customers also receive additional broadband support benefits, including proactive monitoring during their first 90 days.

Super WiFi 6 is enough for many households needing better coverage for browsing, HD streaming and video calls.

Super WiFi 7 is the more advanced option, particularly for homes with newer Wi-Fi devices. However, getting Pro 3 solely for Wi-Fi 7 may not be worth the extra cost if your existing router and Super WiFi 6 already provide good coverage.

Vodafone Super WiFi FAQs

Can I use Vodafone Super WiFi Boosters with my own router?

No. Vodafone’s Super WiFi service requires its supplied compatible router and Boosters. Third-party routers are not supported under the Super WiFi guarantee.

Can I connect a Booster without using the Vodafone app?

Yes. You can pair a Booster manually using WPS. Press the WPS buttons on your router and Booster while they are close together, then move the Booster to its intended location once pairing finishes.

What does a flashing white light on the Booster mean?

A flashing white light indicates a weak connection to the router or mesh network. Move the Booster closer to the Hub. A solid white light means it is connected.

Will Super WiFi work during a broadband outage?

The Boosters cannot restore a failed fixed broadband connection. Pro 3 customers may still have internet access through their included 4G Broadband Back-up when it is operating. All equipment must have power.

Can I reset my Super WiFi Booster if it stops connecting?

Yes. Press and hold the reset button on the back of the Booster for 15 seconds. Wait for it to restart, then pair it with your Vodafone Hub again.
