Vodafone Full Fibre 150 Broadband

Vodafone Full Fibre 150 offers 150Mbps average download speed, which is ideal for homes with two to four people who stream TV, work from home and play online games. You can watch two 4K programmes while someone else makes a video call without using all the available bandwidth.

One advantage worth checking is the upload speed. Vodafone uses the Openreach, CityFibre and Community Fibre networks. On Openreach, you get 27Mbps uploads, while CityFibre and Community Fibre connections provide 150Mbps symmetrical speeds. That is a big difference if you regularly send large files or back up photos and videos online.

Minimum speed guarantee

Vodafone Full Fibre 150 has a minimum guaranteed download speed of 75Mbps on its standard offer. Your actual guarantee is confirmed during ordering and may depend on your address.

If your connection regularly falls below the guaranteed speed, Vodafone will investigate and try to fix the problem. If it cannot restore the guaranteed speed within 30 days, you can leave without paying an early cancellation fee.

The guarantee applies to the broadband connection reaching your router, not the Wi-Fi speed on individual devices.

Price rises

Vodafone increases your monthly broadband bill by £3.50 every 1 April. After two April increases, you will pay £7 more per month than when your contract started.

Your monthly charge may also increase when the 24-month contract ends and the introductory discount expires. See our comparison of broadband price rises for other providers’ increases.

Router

Full Fibre 150 comes with Vodafone’s Power Hub, a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router with four Gigabit Ethernet connections. It supports multiple wireless devices and has enough capacity to deliver the plan’s full 150Mbps speed on compatible devices with a good signal.

The Power Hub also includes intelligent Wi-Fi management and WPA3 security. You can connect gaming consoles, desktop computers and smart TVs directly using Ethernet cables.

Vodafone offers Super WiFi as an optional extra for homes with weak wireless reception. It uses mesh Boosters to extend coverage into other rooms.

See our Vodafone router comparison for the technical differences between Power Hub and Ultra Hub 7.

Full Fibre 150 + Pro 3

You can upgrade Full Fibre 150 to Vodafone Pro 3 without changing the broadband speed. It replaces the Power Hub with the Wi-Fi 7 Ultra Hub 7 and includes Super WiFi 7 Boosters, 4G Broadband Back-up and enhanced technical support.

Pro 3 is ideal if you need better home Wi-Fi coverage or a backup internet connection for working from home. Read our Vodafone Pro 3 broadband guide for the full features and benefits.

Home phone

You can add Vodafone Digital Voice to Full Fibre 150 if you need a home telephone. It uses your broadband connection for calls, so a traditional phone line is not necessary. Just connect a compatible telephone to the Power Hub.

Vodafone offers Evening and Weekend Calls, Anytime Landline and Mobile Calls, and international calling options. You can usually transfer your existing home phone number when switching.

Full Fibre 150 + Vodafone TV

Vodafone Full Fibre 150 can be combined with Vodafone TV, which offers more than 200 live channels, including Freely, along with catch-up programmes and streaming apps.

Vodafone TV Essential includes Netflix Standard with Ads and HBO Max Standard with Ads. The TV Hub supports 4K HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and over 300 cloud games without a gaming console.

With 150Mbps broadband, you can comfortably watch 4K TV while other people use the internet. Vodafone also offers TV Ultimate with additional entertainment subscriptions.

Vodafone Full Fibre 150 for gaming

Vodafone Full Fibre 150 is excellent for online gaming on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Vodafone says latency on its full fibre connections can be as low as 3–10ms, which is great for fast-paced multiplayer games. However, actual gaming ping depends on the server location and network conditions.

At 150Mbps, a 50GB game takes about 45 minutes to download, while a 10GB update takes approximately nine minutes under ideal conditions. Two or three people can play online simultaneously while someone else watches Netflix or YouTube.

The 150Mbps symmetrical upload speed on CityFibre and Community Fibre is also excellent for streaming gameplay to Twitch or YouTube. Openreach connections have 27Mbps uploads, which is still enough for typical gameplay streaming.

Alternatives to consider

  • BT Full Fibre 150 delivers the same 150Mbps average download speed, with 30Mbps uploads. It comes with the Wi-Fi 6 Smart Hub 3 and offers BT TV and Digital Voice as optional extras.
  • Vodafone Full Fibre 500 is worth considering if you regularly download large games or have several heavy internet users. It offers 500Mbps downloads and faster uploads, particularly on CityFibre and Community Fibre connections. Compare both plans in our Vodafone broadband review.
  • Virgin Media M250 fibre broadband offers 264Mbps downloads and 25Mbps uploads. It is faster for large downloads, although Vodafone Full Fibre 150 has a significant upload advantage where symmetrical speeds are available.
  • Community Fibre broadband is another option in covered parts of London. Its full fibre plans offer symmetrical speeds and can be cheaper than national providers.
